I hope they don’t I would rather pay for online services and have mostly reliable backend versus free and having a semi stable sometimes working service, hence why Sony is going behind the paywall mostly.

The channels will just use the same model as some companies did here. The channels owners will sell to you in bundles. You will never be able to buy just one station. You want ESPN well you will pay for all versions of ESPN basically a sports bundle that will be 20 bucks minimum. For some that is fine now if you like movies well you will have to pay for each of those channels if it is lesser know and popular stations you will get a good deal now if you want a well watch station see that be anywhere between 10 to 20 bucks. Now god bless you that you have kids the teens want MTV or one of the other Music channels now you will pay for that group and also separately for the kids group. Well the stats the companies made more money in the long run. Yea some people saved most different and also you will have to pay the cable company for that cable run to your house you think maintenance is free. Now the streaming services will be hurting because now they are competing against individual stations not against a cable block. You will see shows start to disappear. Disney will yank all their programming because they want you to pay for their stations not a streamer and that effect will domino. This is why the Netflixs are having a hard time establishing themselves out of North America they are not competing against cable as a whole they are competing against the channels(that you pay individually for) that they are supposed to get the shows from.

Because who is going to install that cable line in your place. They will not be able to afford it either you will have one company controlling all the lines or you will have a bunch of companies giving you a disjointed. service.

I agree they much better things to do, but if people would actually think about what they are asking for. You will see that this is a bad idea, now cable will be even more expensive, streaming will go down the tubes.

If you think your cable is expensive now wait till this kicks in. Over in Europe alot of companies did this model because the consumers were demanding it thinking that channels will be like oh cool you will only pay 5 bucks a channel and they would be happy. Yea right, that blew up in peoples faces.

Peope tend to forget comparing the PC market to the mobile market is pure fuckery Mobile phones are pretty much on a contractual cycle with the exceptions of certain markets. So people will be upgrading Mobile phones in many areas yearly. People do not upgrade PCs yearly because it is not needed. Next year will be the test to see where the PC market is and also until a tablet can actually pull the same duties as a PC(minus Windows Pro Tablets) tablets are still just a companion.

Just by looks alone Metrotube and mytube are better. The UI just works even if they went cross platform they would still kill Google in their own yard.

under 250 that is dumb is profit suicide they don’t need to whore themselves out on the cheap like Android. W8 is still more function than Android so that is not even a option plus most Android devices at that point are total trash bar the Nexus and even the build quality of those are not that great at all.

I favor this ditch RT it is just redundant compared to WP let WP be the Arm solution and W8 the x86 solution. You can scale from their and fill in the blanks. Since they share kernals I don’t think it should be hard to add a desktop option to certain WP form factors.

Now sitting at 10% or higher in many markets. Google is winning in the West but every fool keeps forgetting MS & Nokias next billion statement. They are focusing on the othet markets, Android can’t compete on the low end against WP at all. The hardware and OS sucks ass on that end. This is how MS will grow their market share. When you know you will be using the same hardware with pretty much same services and support vertically. People will not move away they will start on the bottom and as their money increases move up and know that they will not have to relearn how to use anything.

Except they are starting to ignore W8 and with MS about to offer true unification of OSes this is at Googles peril. They are still mostly just a Ad Company with alot of privacy investigations against them because of this. Google needs to diversify themselves or they will be hurt really bad.

They said with the 360 they would never use it because look at the sales of it compared to Sony and look at the profit margin. Even with the issues MS had they still whooped Sony in services.

Except the 360 proved they did not need a Blu-Ray because that obviously did not make the PS3 a first choice console.

That chunk of memory can be cleared and it is being worked on. With the S4 Samsung basically said go screw yourself get a SD but ohhh shit you can’t put apps on SD. Also it grows also your memory lose and only gets cleared when you delete the offending apps.

So we should all burn Sansung for ripping us off when we by a Galaxy since we lose a large chunk of memory on day one.

Seen a Galaxy S4 on many versions as much as 7gb is missing the day you buy the phone so that 16gb model is sitting already at 10 or 9gb already. Sounds the same to me.

The issue from how it was explained to me is that most of it can not be stopped but they are looking to just move other storage to the SD card. Alot of it is from the prediction and voice service. Anybody every wonder that as you use it the better it gets at understand you. Yes you require network, but alot of that data is stored locally on your phone. Also along with typing algorithms and it grows with your usage. Also they are thinking to move the expanded data from apps to SD like what Android does but without causing the lag issues of Android or making your app unusable if you remove the SD card out. Since the App is on the phone but not its data. Google has this problem also they just don’t tell you.
Comment
They all have it in various forms. When the Verge started with the storage on the Surface everybody jumped on the bandwagon screaming oh bad and bloody MS from site to site. Then somebody decided hey lets look at the other tablets oh shit they got the same issue also whether it be in expanded apps or Applications you can’t uninstall(otherwise known as bloatware)most of Android devices. Oh shit that came out all of a sudden we don’t want to talk about that anymore. Its not that important people don’t use that many apps. Now this does not mean something should not be done, that is the part you wise to ignore. All the OS makers should have a true install sizes not just want the chip says in the inside but we know that will never happen. Look at the NEW GALAXY S4 if you are a idiot that bought the 16gb model you will find that you only have around 10gb of space that is usable. So off the bat you are missing almost 7gb their is your Android argument.

They all have it except in WP they are the only one that shows you it. No app is the size they say. That is really only the install after that, most expand out with stuff unpacked after install. Windows fault is that they give you to much information. Again simple issue is that due to these storage issues all phones should have at minumum 16gb memory. With apps of 1gb and 512mb you will quickly kill your storage options fast on any platform.

Going through the research blogs everyone said this was totally idiot and has no value towards finding a cure. Some went so far as to say that this is almost like it was done on purpose and a “accident” just might happen, but we will leave the conspiracy part on the shelf for now.
