If we get something called Jelly Bean at IO (and I’m skeptical), it won’t be a big ICS-style update. My guess would be some tablet-specific set of improvements that phones will largely skip.

Is that supposed to be 0.5 or 5 GBs?

I don’t know when you last used it, but the 3.1 update made a pretty big difference. I agree that getting kicked out to normal webpage is pretty wonky and not great for normal humans, but I personally find the idea of “type what you want and Google TV does the rest” pretty intuitive, especially now that universal search includes Netflix content along side real time listings and Amazon.

I get a lot of use out my Google TV. And frankly, given the fact that it can play content within a browser, a number of unchecked items in that chart are incorrect (Amazon Rentals and HBO Go, for instance). And the ability to run apps on it has made it pretty much infinitely modifiable (though, understandably, content creators aren’t exactly flocking to the platform).

I’m amazed how quickly this was resolved. This can’t really be a serious problem for a large group of people within a 24 hour period.

Are there Oracle fanboys?

I understand this won’t be available if you’ve ever had a copyright takedown against your account. Can anyone confirm?

I don’t really care – if Samsung (or any other manufacturer) wants to pay a developer to build for Android in exchange for a limited window of exclusivity, at the end of the day it’ll be on the Play Store and there fore everybody and the developer gets over any trepidation they may have about the economics of Android development. Unless this is of indefinite duration, which I really doubt.

Regular Chrome is only (only!) on version 18 – is this a hint that we can expect tighter drive integration in Chrome-proper?

When I turned my Cr-48 on yesterday (I hadn’t used it in a while) it immediately updated to Aura. Which is really odd, because I thought the Cr-48 wasn’t supposed to get it until the next update.
