Defending? I’m neither defending or advocating. I’m just stating that research has been done and findings published. I enjoy food from all sources, unfortunately it’s possible that some chemicals in them may be harmful and we don’t know it yet or our governments (wherever you live) may not ban them yet. And yes, I believe it is partially the government’s responsibility to help protect its citizens. But I’ll try to take as active as a role as I can to inform and protect myself and others.

Honestly, that does feel somewhat true. I hope programmers can blow us away with what they can do with the system. I’ve always felt that when designing for PC, game designers have to be a little more generic since they’re designing for a lot of different hardware configurations. Then the hardware companies like Nvidia streamline and increase efficiency for certain AAA games (in conjunction with the AAA game developers). However, when designing for console, they’re all the same hardware and developers can tune their code to work tightly and efficiently with said hardware right out of the gate (given a few months/years to learn the intricacies of that hardware).
Back to what you said though, do you think it was because the PS3 and Xbox 360 had hardware that was ahead of their time at that time (I honestly don’t know how it compared to PCs at the time)? And now both companies are playing it safe with off-the-shelf parts (arguably parts that are a year or so old now) to reduce cost and maybe provide incremental upgrades to the same consoles in the next few years?

Wow, you think it’s that cheap with subscription still!? Go read the terms before posting. $15 a month for 2 years. That’s $360 alone. Right now it’s $99 for the Xbox 4GB w/ Kinect on contract, so it’d be $460. So he’s just proposing a $50 drop. If you buy it outright, that Xbox is about $299 retail and $50 for 1 year of Gold (retail pricing), so $399 for the equivalent. Save yourself $60 if you got the money upfront.

Why should we have to when there have been countless scholarly studies done already? And your argument about carcinogens, I’m not doubting, but you haven’t provided sources. Also, there are so many other things in our food alone that could be giving us cancer. Look up the food dye in Kraft’s Macaroni and Cheese. Or don’t if any little warning scares you.

Well, George Clooney, or rather, the veteran astronaut he plays will perform some daring maneuver to rescue her to only get himself in the same predicament. At least they’re not alone.

To most people, a 17 min long-shot might sound like a bore. But OMG, 17 min? I’m now truly excited to see how he keeps me glued to the screen. If it’s mostly CGI, which I feel it will most likely be, I may be a little disappointed. Children of Men’s long-shots were spectacular. They averaged 45 sec, which it seems this movie will do the same. CoM: Long-Shots

I think the consensus here is that we all believe that their different products are industry standard.
Side note: I use all of the applications and will likely ramp up my media production hobby to help pay the expenses. I’ve used After Effects and Premiere Pro (though Final Cut was my go to for the longest time) in wedding/birthday/graduation videos. And Encore for that as well. Photoshop and Lightroom for photo editing of course. Illustrator and InDesign for formal photo books and designs. Audition and Soundbooth (or Apple’s Soundtrack Pro) for audio retouching (not often but sometimes). I’ve use Dreamweaver for my website, though it’s under major construction and I’m taking a Dreamweaver class here soon. Haven’t touch Fireworks really, but I imagine I may start. I use Acrobat for my contracts.
My point: It was just a hobby, but I can’t do without Adobe products. I feel I need to ramp up my hobby to make the monthly cost justifiable. It’s both exciting because I know I want to ramp up and it kind of sucks thinking that Adobe has almost made me do it. I know, I know…nobody’s making me do anything. Could survive on CS6 for a few years I suppose.

Depending on zoom capabilities, you have to get the throw distance just right. Then you got the countless options out there. Mount directly to drywall? I hope not. In between studs above the ceiling? Got to patch that ceiling now. Maybe just screw directly into those studs? Gamer has to go to Home Depot and buy a stud finder. How much keystone does the projector allow? Not enough, have to lower the mount with piping or an extension.
I will admit that with this device and it’s calibration, that it doesn’t seem to have to be perfect.
