I can certainly agree with you that when there is distraction from the budget or insolvency of the social safety net, D.C. breathes a collective sigh of relief.

Thanks for the thoughtful and thorough response; I enjoyed reading your post. And I do live in a swing state, which I enjoy.
I need to do my homework on pre-Clinton corruption in the executive branch. I’m just under 30 so I wasn’t exactly paying attention to news before then.
Take care.

Haha, hat’s off on the strike-through. I can accept the burn.
This about abuse of power. Obama let Americans die to increase his chances of winning an election. Historically, when a President lies and abuses power (more than “normal” lol), he is impeached and/or removed from office. Was letting four Americans die and lying to our faces about it for months enough to warrant action by the American people? That’s the question.

That’s why I said my source was Yahoo answers. Not exactly reliable, just the first thing I could find, and the specificity led me to believe the poster had done his homework. Looks like he was just cherry-picking.
Concerning your link, notice that none of the instances include a denied plea for reinforcement. I think that’s key here. Also, why did the administration lie through it’s teeth about the whole incident? I think that’s what makes this situation unique. Especially because the White House continued to lie after their cover story was discredited.
May I ask why you think I’m a neocon? I’m actually an independent and strongly disagree with the loss of civil liberty begun by Bush II and increased by Obama.

Joshua, thank you for your response. The Verge needs more people like you. That’s why I didn’t call you out by name; I’m not familiar with your political beliefs. Your comment is a breath of fresh air in what often feels like an echo chamber. Take care, and keep up the good work.

I’m guessing your name is Jay Carney, correct?
Edit: Jay Carney would totally get corrected by someone on Yahoo Answers. So yes, yes I think you are Jay Carney.

Finally, The Verge is starting to cover the myriad of corruption cases that have been happening lately. I have a feeling we would have seen this type of coverage a lot sooner, and with harsher words for POTUS if we had a different President. Then again, The Verge has never been shy about it’s incredible political bias.

I’ll add a few hopefully helpful suggestions:

Apex Launcher (try that too, but I prefer Nova)
Aix Weather Widget
Falcon Pro (twitter, not sure if tokens are currently available)
Hi-Q MP3 Recorder (Lite or full)

The issue at hand is that once the shady intel concerning Iraq was uncovered, mainstream media outlets went berzerk. Once again, there is evidence of a terrible cover up, but it’s not receiving proper news coverage. Comparing the loss of life is a straw man.
Also, everyone in this thread needs to treat each other with a bit more civility and respect. I’m not aiming that accusation at stewsburntmonkey. I just want to make that statement here so people see it.

Check out this thread to see what the modern Android ecosystem is like. You can check out the app screenshots and videos on Google Play to help inform your decision. I installed a few new apps after reading that thread and I really enjoy them. I agree with Strand0410 below, 4.x is very different from gingerbread, and even honeycomb.
Sorry, I can’t give you much guidance as to the big differences between Android and WP8.
I would recommend playing with them at the store or spending a few hours on YouTube. Best of luck in your decision!
