Well, Facebook most likely did it so as to not piss off Instagram’s userbase. Not everyone who has an Instagram has a Facebook, and vice versa, and some people (like me) prefer keeping the two separated.
It’s weird, but it’s better than making Instagram a Facebook-only app and getting the fans mad.

I wouldn’t be so hasty to write Instgram off just yet; if Facebook knows its userbases well enough, it’ll let Instagram stay separate but bring some things from it into the FB platform.

“A subscription you start on your phone could be used to enable content on a website (say, a newspaper) as well. "
So, if you were subscribed to, say, The NY Times Online, you could use your subscription in apps? Cool.

My dad’s been pestering me to learn for a while now since apparently I’m capable of being TEH MAJICAL APP DEVELOPR, but I’m actually enjoying it, the site makes it fun.

Maybe this might be one of those phones you have to use in order to fully “get” it, but either way I’m thinking that the One X is overall much nicer in presenting itself and therefore is more likely to become my next.

You know, I watched last month’s episode with Dr. Tyson and got addicted, and I wasn’t even really all that big on watching the Engadget Show or listening to the podcasts or anything before. I now see the error of my ways.
Can’t wait.
