Depends on how much bigger the body would be, it’s really something that I’d have to feel in my hand to judge. I know that the S3/S4/One are too large for my liking, but you could probably increase the iPhone’s screen size a bit without making it much bigger by reducing the bezel.

Many apps don’t exist for Android simply because they’re made by a single person or a small team and making a quality app for one platform is hard enough, never mind two. Do you really think the Clear team is encouraged to develop for a platform that allows an app to exist that not only apes their design but also their name?

How very Android. “We might not have App X, but we have a blatant ripoff that is somehow allowed to exist on the market”

I think those assumptions are pretty spot on.
The only one I’m not sure about is Haswell – the reason why the Mac Pro has historically gone with Xeon CPUs (well since 2006 or 2007 anyway) is because of ECC RAM and the second-to-none user upgradeability. Want two graphics cards, a fibre optics setup, and 3 slots worth of video/sound capture cards? Sure, go ahead. You lose a bit of that when you step down to regular CPUs. People thought Thunderbolt was going to make these things into external devices, but manufacturers haven’t really stepped up so far.
Retina on the Mac Pro (and every Mac sooner or later) is pretty much certain, same with a form factor change.

You can’t think of it as paying the money for the coffee date though.
The winner gave a $610k (deductible) donation to charity, which they would probably have given anyway, and in addition they get to meet Tim Cook for free.

I think the apps would look better with a more muted colour scheme, other than that it looks very nice.

The writing and iCloud syncing element of iA writer mixted with a simpler file browser (ie the filebrowser of Apple’s Notes app, minus the yellow paper UI).
I don’t really think you have to compete on features, there are so many iOS writing apps out there that have any feature anyone could think of, you’ll be much better served making the experience perfect for whatever your feature set happens to be.

Oh boy. I’m going to go all out here and speculate that they’re also gonna start producing the logic board, battery, and case. Maybe they’re even working on a new version of iOS to go with the upcoming device.

So far I’ve never strayed from Photoshop because I had access to a license from my school, but that’s expiring soon so it’s time to see whether I really need it or if something like Pixelmator or Acorn can get the job done.
You get to own Pixelmator forever for less than it costs to have access to Photoshop for a month, that seems like a great deal to me.

Yes. The issue isn’t that they’re using the real name of a gun. It’s that they make dumb war fetish games for babies.

In terms of specs it’s basically a the guts current-gen Macbook Pro 13" put into a little box. That means it will run just about anything fairly well.
The problems start if you want SSD storage of any kind. Both the 256GB SSD and the 1TB Fusion Drive are only available on the $800 model, which means that the cheapest Mac Mini with any type of SSD storage will run you $1049. And that’s before upgrading the RAM to 8GB, and without a keyboard, mouse/trackpad, or monitor.
The Verge reviewed it a few months ago and had generally favourable opinions.

Chrome tends to perform marginally better than Safari for me, but I like Safari’s interface and feature set so I’ve kept on using it for now.

It’s not a big bother to me and I watch/listen to (depending on when/where I have time) most episodes of the Vergecast, but there certainly are podcasts with multiple people where they rarely talk over each other and it’s still enjoyable. Just about anything on 5by5 for example.

Have a legal CC subscription, grab the app binaries from your machine, figure out which parts are used for authentification, “fix” those. Now you have standalone apps that don’t require authentification.
I doubt anyone will figure out how to pirate it in a way that allows the software to receive updates from Adobe, but surely the pirates can release a new binary for each major version just as they currently do.
Adobe software is the holy grail of piracy. Somebody is going to figure it out.

Considering how much money he has, I doubt he’s in a rush to find a new job. Better off waiting for that perfect opportunity to come around, or to start something new and keep quiet about it until there’s something worth showing to the world.
At that level, you don’t send CVs and cover letters to companies. Finding a new gig and finalizing all the details can easily take a year.
