My build is really similar. I went with the ASRock X79 Extreme6 instead because I’m not a big overclocker (which means no H100 either) and it’s only $250, and I couldn’t help myself from splurging on a Mountain Mods case. I also got 32 gigs of RAM because when I saw it for $160 I said why the hell not? RAM disk and cache.

All advice above is wise.
However, I say do what sounds like the most fun, and TS lenses are fun as hell. The learning curve is only as steep as you make it – you can always just keep it on straight if you want to be conservative, and when you’re feeling adventurous just mess around and take what you get. It’s a great opportunity to give it a shot, which you’ve been wanting to do. The first time I used one was actually at a wedding gig – I picked it up the morning of having little idea how to work it and I ended up with some of the best weddings shots I’ve taken.
