It sells no freemium diamonds or rubies to help till your digital farmyard. It only recently added a gallery of artwork made by other users, the first Paper feature that required an internet connection. The company makes money by selling paintbrushes and a color mixer inside the app, hardly a rock solid foundation for a venture-backed business.
It doesn’t get a whole lot more solid than that O.o
You make something, and you sell it. Once.
I’m not oppossed to freemium models or anything, but just because Paper is doing “old school business” doesn’t mean it’s not a rock solid way to make money…
