I just want better Nexus specs. The Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus seemed to be about 6 months behind in Android phone specs.

These phones are nearly equal in my opinion. The HOX has Sense (which beats TouchWiz) and a better screen, whereas the GSIII has cool added software features, plus a removable battery.
In the end, assuming price is about the same, battery is of utmost importance to me, and I lean towards getting the GSIII for the removable battery that will allow me to swap batteries when I’m low, rather than charging with some sort of external pack.

Unlike Android and WP7, iPhone icons are static. No animation, no updating live tiles. It’s a lot easier to make static icons move smoothly than a bunch of widgets.

Whatever works for you, then. If smoothness is the most important feature to you, then I understand you seeing most Android phones as “not acceptable.” I still think plenty of Android phones are plenty smooth, even if they aren’t iPhone-smooth.
I care about other things, like having a file system, flash, and free wifi tethering. To me, Apple is the one that still can’t get it right, after all these years.

I predict that as the experiment continues, Paul will become more ignorant and less connected with friends, though perhaps his attention span will grow and he will become more physically active (walking to all these libraries and bookstores).
The Internet is awesome.
