I’m not crazy about it either. I find certain posts in my stream are difficult to read because there isn’t enough contrast between the white text and the photo below it. If they’d add a darker translucent gray gradient underneath the text, I think it’d be more readable.
Although I’m not a designer, so what do I know!
I found the previous UI easier to read, while this update is easier to look at, if that makes sense. I definitely don’t hate it, and applaud the G+ team for trying a different take on a social app.

Why would they have a collection feature when it’s not about collecting music in the first place?
In my opinion, the Collection feature is useful. In Spotify, if I want to refer back to an album or song, I have to create a playlist or star an album, and add it to my 50-100 already existing playlists.
In Rdio, when I want to refer back to an album or song frequently, I can add it to my Collection. When I tap “Collection” in the Rdio apps, all the music I’ve saved is sorted by Artist, and Album. The advantage of the Collection feature is that the music you want to refer back to is organized for you, and your Playlists can be used for making playlists rather than saving music.
It has nothing to do with “faking your ‘huge collection.’”

Just wanted to say I really enjoyed the video, especially the editing in the Game store section, where you hear Paul’s voice and the employee’s voice but only see the storefront…very creative!
