Well you can’t have it both ways. You just can’t say I like gestures and at the same time scream gestures interfere with my use. Pick one. The great thing is, both are an actually valid and doable option.

Tom, um, I’m pretty sure there have been numerous references and a leaked internal email that said Xbox does not require an always on connection to play single player games. That should be case closed and eliminate the need for the sensationalist speculative fear mongering of an article you just posted, no?

That’s a pretty, I’m sorry to say, outright dumb argument. Yes, Nepalese rupees are money in their economy. There are plenty of currencies (all money in their respective economies; but you’ll note none are money, directly, in other economies). But within the context of their respective economies, they exist to facilitate exchange – at the basic level. Bitcoin facilitates precisely dick. Other than a ton of wasted resources on mining and then some on speculation. There is no economy in which it is a medium, a store, or a unit. As an example, hell, USD is very much money in the US, but in the Soviet Union, for example, not only was it not money, it was illegal to possess. You can’t switch context willy nilly, and that’s not an argument, it’s pure ignorance

It fails even the first one you listed (medium of exchange) – I can’t buy even such a basic thing as food with it (don’t tell me that there’s a place in that one town which will accept it, ‘cause that doesn’t matter), so even disregarding the other parts (which I don’t think you got right, unless you meant something I didn’t get from reading what you wrote), it is NOT money. It’s almost the same as tulip bulbs in the 17th century Holland, except the tulip bulbs were more useful.

Dude, did you miss the FIFA Soccer part? ’Cause that one is largely irrelevant in the US. Selectively watch much?

Aaaaaand that begs the question: what do you think is real money? Because if you understood the answer, you would understand that bitcoin is not money
