I use my Pro quite a bit – yes as a laptop replacement.
I did pick up the Plugable USB 3.0 docking station and use it will a full monitor and keyboard at my desk as well. I also installed Start8 to bring the start button back.
With that, I couldn’t be happier – the Surface Pro is far more portable then the old Thinkpad I used to use and Windows 8 is stable and lightening fast. You can’t beat it when you are on the road!
