Nope, a ticket on a train says I am suppose to be on the train. Taking my fingerprints says to me I did something wrong. They don’t generally take your finger prints here unless you’ve done something criminally wrong (also possibly if you’re going into some government or military thing, but I don’t know that for sure). So naturally in my mind my finger prints being taken equates to me being a criminal.

Oh okay, It’s a bit redundant, but I think I see the reasons for both. Increased security for the United States on entry, increased security for other countries on the way out. This does not prevent anything for people wanting to cause trouble that are citizens of the United States, but if the U.S. government tried to fingerprint me on the way out of the country I would be very offended. I still feel like it treats people a bit like criminals, then again I also like the whole innocent until proven guilty thing that we have here in the United States.

Thanks for the answers! In case you were wondering why I asked where you were from it was because I can better understand their point of view because of their common relationship with their government. (It’s a bit assuming, I know). Also assuming your point of view that the system now is rather good, then why would legislation need to be passed? I don’t think you need it to make information flow better.

The Constitution actually does apply to foreigners when in the United States, just not all of it. Which parts greatly vary by which legislation is passed.

Maybe I’m just ahead on the curve of the whole security verses freedom trend, but since I had absolutely no idea that the United States practiced this, I have a few questions out of curiosity if you don’t mind.
How would they extend this law to further benefit the United States with out creating a further negative image of the United States?
Do you feel this makes the United States a safer place, or is it just a waist of resources?
Where are you from?

I feel this would repulse many travelers from visiting the United States. I know I would not want to visit a country where something like this is in place. It would seem that they are treating me like a criminal, I would also not want to deal with such crap after a flight.

Seems unlike Google to be caught like that. They’re normally good with execution..well when the product is not physical.

I love HTC, the original Android manufacturer, has a sense of industrial style like no other. I fear if HTC does not sell enough Ones there may not be a 2014 flagship. This would deeply sadden me because that phone would of most likely of been my next phone, unless they seriously screw up. I really do hope that HTC pulls through, the HTC One is a quality device.

Reports by DigiTimes say that it is due for July. However again I would not fully believe in it until Google confirms. Every Android blogger thought the revamp of the Nexus 7 was coming at I/O.
Comment
Is June confirmed? All I have seen are rumors for the white Nexus 4, and 4.3. Though June seems logical, I would not 100% believe in it.

Yeah, Verizon does suck. I live in a fairly populated area and I get very low signal in my home. It’s disappointing to say the lease. The only time I am glad to have them is when I’m out at college and Verizon is the only one that works out there well. I’m sticking with my S3 until Verizon gets more phones. I honestly hope T-Mobile spreads their service and their business model works so they can cover more area because to me they’re the least evil out of all the other major carriers.

Wait, why is Google being a dick? Because they don’t want to loose money on something they know won’t bring them revenues?

So I guess the real question is, is this some kind of stealing, and/or is it against the law?

Well, my current view of Microsoft is closely related to a dirty, crazy homeless man holding up a sign that claims the end is near. This is mainly brought upon their crappy scroogled campaign. However this may or may not be true of Microsoft, but I don’t think Google would have much of a reason to take action. After all more people using YouTube the better for Google?

Why are you so skeptical? Also I don’t think it needs to be a huge press event. They could just put 4.3 in the source, and release the white Nexus 4 on Google play, and say 4.3 and the white Nexus 4 are available!
