Lumia series batteries are nonremovable. The Lumia series is also polycarbonate. You can make great hardware with this material; it seems like Samsung doesn’t want to.

Sure, but you can make polycarbonate feel premium. Case in point: the Lumia series.

Better that than having it shatter.

I’ve always been a fan of Sony—especially their computers. It’s nice to see them be able to bring that design muscle over to their smartphone division.
Granted, I wouldn’t buy a Sony smartphone, given that no Sony phone will likely get the developer support that a phone such as the Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy S2 receives, but these are great examples of attractive hardware.

I’m not willing to excuse subpar quality and polish just because the developers are teenagers
It’s probably better to leave age off the table until you have all the details; assuming that the creators of Boid were all 14-16 made you look quite the ageist until you actually clarified your position.

the Chrome beta is really buggy and slow and takes ages to load pages with a lot of content and renders sites really badly. the stock browser is just slow,
Weird. Chrome scores a better score on Sunspider and loads pages way faster than Firefox Beta 14 for me.

OLED, not AMOLED. You’re referring to TV’s, right?

Yeah, if Apple had multiple current gen iPhone models. Which they don’t.

The main reason is the Facebook app; it creates a whole bunch of background processes that it shouldn’t that use the GPS even when the app is closed.

See? You were absolutely wrong. It’s not as “unnecessary” as you might think.

I’m not disputing any of that, but all the talk about “preventing” or “reversing” global warming makes me somewhat concerned about the gullibility of the people who actually think it can be completely prevented or reversed.
I have no problem with the idea of mitigating the effects of climate change, but completely preventing it or reversing it seems like a pipe dream to me.

The problem is that there actually is certain proof for the idea that global warming could be primarily cyclical. Life on Earth has thrived in the past at temperatures far hotter than current levels.
