Im sure Apple wouldnt accuse samsung unless they had a pretty good idea that it was happening. I, to be honest, wouldnt doubt Samsung would do something like that.

Why would samsung create their own GUI when aosp works fine? Why does samsung do anything that samsung does?

Id personally say that people who are interested in having a device with an unlocked bootloader just shouldnt buy devices that do. Firstly because phones with locked bootloaders often are developed for less because of the redtape involved in developing custom roms for it and secondly as a measure of boycotting. I only wish non advanced users would not buy phones that are locked to make companies like AT&T think twice about locking their devices.

Ya im thinking this is it for RIM. Of they fail to make bank on BB10 they are in real danger of ceasing to exist. Personally I think they should stick to the infrastructure they already have, license out the tech to other companies and try to save themselves and just give up on hardware kind of like how sega stopped making game systems and concentrated on just making games and selling them to be used on other platforms. Bit we’ll see what happens.

I think stockholders are probably scared shitless that the company is making such a huge change. Its either going to be a huge success story or a huge flop but right now stockholders dont want to throw all of their money on black and let the dice roll. Its just too big of a risk that stockholders could possibly lose a lot of money on BB10 and who can blame them.

Im curious as to if loyal blackberry fans like or hate the new user interface. I would think if i were a blackberry fan i would like it because it works a certain way and the only negative i can think of with this new redesign of the ui is are they going to alienate their core users by completely changing how blackberry looks and feels to something very alien to what blackberry users are currently used to.

To me this device seems like a waste of R&D. Theres not nearly a big enough ecosystem of people with blackberries that use their devices as PMP’s for this to be useful. The first step should be making a blackberry that people want outside of business use then implement a music selling service THEN release something lile this. Until the first two are done, nobody is going to want this thing.

Except you dont get a choice of a really nice mobile graphics card with a macbook pro. And unless you install windows on it, theres much less compatibility for games.

I think what people are missing here is its easy to confuse Apples success with the ipad and iphone with its successes with its computer sales. If 600,000 windows computers were infected with the same virus, it would probably account for 1% of windows users or less world wide. Where as 600,000 mac users hit is a much higher percentage of mac users since there are many less mac users world wide. Most businesses still rely on windows minus design firms. Although if more viruses were written for osx, many more schools would be effected.
