Sure physics says air is less resistance than another object.
However, if you Swype/Flow/Glide you’re maintaining minimal pressure, resting your finger against the object, and minimizing muscle use. If you use a conventional keyboard you have to use increased pressure, increase finger movement, and maximize muscle movement. It should be pretty obvious by physics which method is easier and less harmful and damaging.
Oh yes, let’s not forget how much faster Swype/Flow/Glide is than standard touchscreen typing. That is a documented fact, and if touchscreen typing was truly easier then why is it so slow in comparison? You’re sitting there saying “It’s easier, but it just takes more muscle use and more time” /boggle
I have to agree with Bleached, sounds like you haven’t used a gesture keyboard. I’m guessing your mobile platform of choice doesn’t offer that option and you’re trying to advance the cause of said platform absent any facts?
I really don’t understand the fundamental disagreement people have with informing the people who will actually be hurt by the problem. I get that solutions to some problems need time to fix and deploy. In the mean time every day you don’t inform potential victims is a day you enable criminals. The false assumption here is that all these security flaws are new discoveries by security researchers and not hackers to begin with. Sure, some of the flaws may be first time discoveries, just as many are second hand discoveries.
If my home security system can be easily disabled due to a flaw I want to know now so I can take precautions to protect myself. Not 6 months later after I’ve already been robbed. Computer security is no different.
By your logic, if your security system at home has a flaw that allows it to be exploited you shouldn’t be notified about it until the manufacturer decides they want to update it. Meanwhile, you get robbed.
Maybe you’re looking for a different way of using it, but can’t you do this by setting up forwarding on your other email accounts to one of your gmail accounts and then setting up that account to be able to send mail as the the other accounts? Maybe I’m missing something but I receive email from two gmail accounts and my ISP account all in my primary gmail account inbox and I can also send email as any one of the three accounts.
