The Amazon box would not necessarily be better for the consumer, but it would be better for Amazon. If they can get you to buy the box they can make it significantly easier for you to use their services than competitors’ services.
I’m not so sure. I think the most reasonable reaction is to barricade yourself and your family in a room with the shotgun trained on the door and then call the police. If anyone opens the door that is not the police, blow them away.
