The thing is is that iOS 6 was really a huge MEH update. The updates before it didn’t bring everything and the kitchen sink, but they brought useful things that many people use now instinctively. iOS 6 wasted a whole year and is wasting more and more time the longer we wait for iOS 7. I don’t even consider it an iteration.
People aren’t asking for things in iOS 7 in a way that they’re complaining for something new all the time, they’re asking for LONG overdue features that we all know Apple can do very well, probably the best implementation, that will make the user experience better all around. Many users don’t care about the financials and statistics they just want well put features that they’re used to with Apple.
And they’re lacking on all fronts, look at OS X. We expect that such silence in regards to software updates means SOMETHING good is in store, not mine blowing, just well designed and implemented with little compromise. For so much silence to follow up with more silence only brings in to question, if that’s not what they’re working on, what then? They get paid lots of money each year for what?
