Been playing since launch and for those of you who like a challenge, yes, normal is easy, nightmare is harder, but still you will most often breeze through it.
But then, you hit hell. Oh, what a learning curve that is! Everything suddenly becomes harder, although once you get some loot you will handle normal monsters and most bosses are relatively easy.
The real challenge are the champion, unique pack of monsters. Sometimes you’ll hit an easy combo, until you get one of those crazy Arcane, Shielding, Extra Health in a tight hallway or some other sick combination of abilities. Now that’s where the challenge starts!

I don’t see why not, since it’s likely linked to your Battle.net account?

Blizzard’s stance has always been against mods in Diablo.
While I have no doubt private servers will emerge (just like WoW), Battle.net should be pretty clean although realistically there will be bots in due time… but don’t count on cracking the game to play on official servers.

The pace they have been keeping up in the post-Netburst era is staggering and it’s incredible how far they have gone since the then-mighty Conroe, which totally destroyed anything and everything on the market at the time.

I agree with most of your points, except storage. If this mythical product exists, it will be storage-less, like the Apple TV. Thunderbolt I wouldn’t be so sure because the implementation is relatively expensive, but definitely not impossible.
What’s guaranteed though… it will sell like hotcakes!
