I think its due to how it can form so much complex structures against other elements. I think I’ve read something about Silica being another good candidate, but the level of complexity of stuff it can form isn’t so big.
I wonder, due to how hard is it to mine unless you have a quite good rig, how many ‘average’ computers could be needed to match the performance of a rig bought just for mining?
