Yes I’m comparing them, I thought we were talking about entrepreneurs. Marco leaves the new thing he creates and moves on to new things, Gates did a similar thing only kept it all in the same company. And yes Gates left MS and is doing other things now. Also Marco isn’t 57 years old, he would have had to have started a company when we was born to be able to have been in it for 30 years.
Wether Jobs left, got forced out are semantics and irrelevant to this point. And Marco isn’t dead so he can do all kinds of crazy stuff until he does. That’s not a reason to not compare them on this.
Yes I’m going to disregard Zuckerberg, because he only did Facebook for now so not relevant to my point, and he hasn’t really created something new just a more popular myspace.
Gates left MS to do other things, and used MS for all the things he wanted to do, crazy things like start a media company, instead of selling and creating new. Jobs left and went on to turn Pixar successful, started NEXT and then came back to turn Apple around. And Zuckerberg, meh.
In any case you don’t need to start multiple things to be an entrepreneur, just one new business is enough.
