I think it’s real-time render on PS4. The console’s GPU power is around 1.84 Teraflops per second, compared to 0.24 TFlops XBox 360 had, as per recent Wired article. And since we saw no faces, which often require a lot of processing power due to polygon count and complex texture mapping required to recreate skin and hair, I think it’s very, very conceivable for this to be real-time render. That would explain the simpler explosions/special effects (still nice-looking).

Adi, Fisker never got the full loan. The actual funds that the govt gave Fisker are somewhere between 100-199 million (please find the exact figure online). The way this is written, it’s misleading to think that Fisker got all 469mil and then the funds were frozen; but the fact is, the LOAN was frozen after 100-something million was paid to them. So the other 300 or so mil stayed in govt’t bank.

Tesla doesn’t sell Roadsters anymore. Their current car is Model S, which starts at 70k for 200-mi battery, 83k for 300-mile. This is a very, very reasonable price for a luxury sports sedan.
Mass-market under-40k car is planned for 3-4 years from now. They have the factory for it, but not yet all the tooling and processes, so the 3-4 years is to ramp that up.

Rofl. They already have. Welcome Volt (40 miles e-range LOL). Electric/hybrid Ford Focus. Nissan Leaf (yay 60 mi real-world range!).
You may think that Tesla just got lucky. No, the tech is HARD. Their batteries/powertrains are a freaking technological marvel. Their aerodynamics are some of the best, etc. GM and Ford are years behind. It’s not that they aren’t trying – it’s that they aren’t capable of matching Tesla.
Your argument is like saying that once Nokia/Palm/Blackberry enter the ring, Apple is doomed. Turns out, what Apple did wasn’t luck, it was just very hard to do and they were the only ones who could do it for years. And to this day, even with Android finally doing really well (for Samsung, at least), iOS market share keeps growing, profits are record, etc. So it will be with Tesla.

I’m not saying phone choice is important, but I ditched my ex-girlfriend, who had an HTC, and I am happily in love with my new girlfriend, who has an iPhone.

Not true – I used iTunes long before having anything Apple. It was just way, way better than Windows Media player. I know many others who did the same in college.

You can find news reports on this – basically music companies pushed for ability to set higher prices on new/popular songs or they wouldn’t renew contracts with Apple. Apple budged, but got away from DRM in exchange. So, there.
Still plenty 99-cent songs in there. And avg price/song when buying a whole album is often below 99c cents even.
