I think hangouts is a big step up, and could imagine that XMPP probably takes away from their ideal unified messaging system, but this is still a big enough deal to mention.. especially as it was days after microsoft announced gtalk integration in outlook. ouch.
Spot on. Countless people asked for this years ago and blackberry laughed and said no. Now everyone moved off and found alternatives, and all of a sudden blackberry changes it’s tone… clutching at straws.

the tap, then tap to confirm is fine, it’s the popup that appears after that has me bang my head on the desk. Not only is it jarring, but it also has a slight delay too, so that you’ve missed out on two words that you were trying to type.
