As a 10th grade male, I like to share my opinion on this. I hate texting and social media. But I love my iPhone. I fell in love with it after seeing the iPhone commercial “this is how you turn it on”. I didn’t call anybody or text but I just wanted to have the device of the future. Three years later I got my first iphone. I loved it, everyday, it was a super computer in my pocket. When I got the iPhone 5, I was not as excited as the first iphone but I still love it. My friends who have iPhones believe the iPhone is boring and they want a Samsung or Htc (honestly I think they say that just for me to get aggregated) but the truth is the iPhone is amazing and I will never give it up. Now back to my point, Social media is a waste land that makes people cynical and anti-social. My friends use their devices and computers to post images and suck their life away. When i saw my older sisters use facebook before my friends, i made a promise not to use social media. Unfortunately, I have become an outcast for 26% of the time but I able to get back. I wish people use Skype or FaceTime more, I find that it allows people to see each other instead of talking to a server.
We need to use less social media and more face to face contact, I may be shy but I try my best to talk to people.
