Seriously though, what happens when someone hacks this thing to be able to record video while the screen is off? I mean how long is it going to take for this device to be rooted.

It seems though that Google has got more friends in higher places. They are walking a very dangerous road here. They have a very big market share in online video and could be considered a monopoly. There is only so long that they can restrict access to the opposition and get away with it.
