Is there really a solid reason to have a tablet, even now? The ipad is great for media consumption, but really a laptop/phone can do the job. Most people I know with them just find them as a cool thing to have around rather than an useful product.
I don’t necessarily agree with Thorsten Heins here, because while Windows 8 is struggling to find traction I feel that tablets that aid productivity (including the ipad) will become more and more present. I just feel The Verge’s headline exaggerated his quote and provoked all these dumb anti-blackberry comments.
