For a good reason, real time editing is bad. Imagine if you are typing a text and then suddenly you scroll down because somebody else is adding paragraph or pages before what you are typing? This would be nuts.
It’s already here. When you save your document into Skydrive you automatically gets others authors changes if there is any. And you are also notified of new changes before saving your document.
