This seems to be more opinion than fact. Amazon ma seem focused to you but they are losing money on each Kindle Fire sold and they aren’t making that money back from app and media purchases.
But if we were to just compare the two App Stores I would say that Amazon is failing. The aren’t growing anywhere near as fast as the Play Store, apps aren’t being updated, developers are upset with Amazons app pricing policies and the UI is downright ugly (IMO). As I mention below, even this “Test Drive” feature is a terrible idea. Yes, you get to test the app but at the end of the test you will have no idea if the app will run well or at all.

Google did come out with it first, they just call it a refund period instead of this overly complex “solution”. Unlike Googles method, this won’t let you know if the app will run well on your hardware.

Someone like yourself should be able to see that we were poking fun at Instagrams users reactions to Android users. Didn’t mean anything by it just trying to have a bit of fun.

No, the OP is pissed that he hasn’t received 4.0.4 yet, which is a very minor update to ICS.

Everyone has kind of jumped to conclusions on this one.
Google is working on fixing the issue. I have seen numerous report of people calling and hearing the same thing I did which is that its a glitch.
I have 3 unrooted and 1 rooted device and I am unable to remove any of them and get the same error that everyone else has reported.

Were all the android phones sold in the last 2 years only sold in the US? Because I can’t remember more than a couple of Android phones made in that period that have screens less than 4 inches.

Why? If ISIS is hypothetically better (lower fees for merchants, more secure, better support) than any of the other NFC payment options, why wouldn’t you use them. I know carriers do so messed up things sometimes but in this case they are just trying to do the same thing every other company is trying to do.

Powermat, Samsung and Qualcomm have enough clout to enforce a standard. Plus, if other android OEMs and manufacturers get in on the act Apple may just join.

I think the original idea was to have video status updates. G+ hangouts still have them beat…it’s just too bad the world hasn’t realized how awesome G+ could be if it had the amount of people that Facebook does.

Maybe I have been on the internet too long today but I have always seen hackers as a good thing. Yes, they try to do bad things but in their attempts and successes we learn about our vulnerabilities and fix them. Anything that disrupts that process clears away part of the checks and balances of the internet.
