There’s plenty of good quality content on YouTube, not to mention a lot of educational content. Nobody uses Vimeo in the real world, just occasionally when a blogger links to a daft punk boring video some cyborg.

I’m sure. From the aluminium alloy used to the keyboard to the trackpad to the screen ratio to the aesthetic design (the kirabook looks, despite being made of high grade aluminium instead of food grade aluminium like the Macbooks, like a cheap piece of plastic).

I agree. But I don’t think the United States when it comes to the ISPs and carriers is even remotely close to such a state.

There are two forces at work. Pick your poison. Ask for bigger government/more regulation, or let the market work itself out through competition.
One is not a poison, the government is there to protect the interests of society, correcting market failures or promoting competition (by forcing them to make their networks compatible, net neutrality, etc). Consumer protection is very important.

Only when the government and regulators step in, and considering half the house and half the Senate is constituted by market fundamentalists, that’s not going to happen soon.

The pixel is cheaper, and design and build quality are much better. To get a touchscreen you need to pay $1799, that’s more than 30% more, is not a trivial difference.

What? I’m no saying all people that voted against Obama did because of the color of his skin, I’m saying that since no racist would vote for him, that creates a correlation between republicans and racism.
I’m not here to discuss economic policies, but saying Obama’s economic policies suck and voting for someone like Romney is laughable at best. But I do believe you that you voted against him and that you’re not racist.

The calendar app looks gorgeous and Apple should steal it. I don’t like the icons though.

There’s an obvious correlation. You may not vote for Obama for other reasons but it certainly follows that every racist will vote against him. So there’s a built in correlation. Racist vote red.

No you shouldn’t. The meaning is determined by how people use the word.

And where on earth did they come up with “97”%?
There are multiple polls, as well as tracking articles published in peer review magazines, and all exceed 90%.
Fortunately, 1. the status of a consensus can change,
This is of course true.
2. science has nothing to do with consensus
This is of course false.
The spark of truth will only appear after debating the facts
This is layer mentality.
Anyway, the empirical evidence is fairly clear. And after checking the web you linked to I don’t find anything there to be a compelling argument against the consensus. Seems more like a politicized denial, with two graphs and one equation to surprise readers.

Just because there’s a blog in the web it doesn’t mean there’s a scientific debate in the community…
See: http://www.benthamscience.com/open/tocpj/articles/V002/7TOCPJ.pdf as an example of what I’m saying.
This is the status of the scientific consensus: http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus
