It would have been nice to have that earlier but I think Feedly has done a phenomenal job given the amount of time and lack of notice.

This isn’t just about one handset maker buying another, both are deeply rooted in the network infrastructure business. For Huawei, it’s probably even more important than selling handsets.

I’ve had no issues with extensions or performance. Chrome’s look matches the OS X aesthetic better than the Windows version matches Windows, that’s the only obvious difference I can think of. If you’re worried about performance, I feel that Safari is appreciably superior.

I don’t own a Nexus 7 but right now it seems like every single device is having issues, I see nobody defending the device. Where were all this complaints last week? It can’t have happened overnight.

What is with the old button layout? Can HTC not make their minds up?
On paper this is the better phone but in person the previous Butterfly didn’t feel like a high-end device and I don’t think this will be much different. The outgoing model actually felt very Samsung-like with all that plastic.

It needs some tweaking for legibility but that looks very good. Won’t make things any easier for 3rd party devs though.

It’s quite obvious what Sony is doing and Microsoft has had ample time to wise up. This is a very big PR failure on their part.

The painfully slow search for old messages was a problem I thought unique to me. Who needs to go through years of messages anyway?
I’m glad there’s a solution to it but for something I do once every few months… at $20, no thanks.

My phone is permanently on mute. I don’t like the ringer to be super loud so I’m more likely to notice the vibration than the sound. It also means I can let things go ignored without people reminding me to answer my own phone.
I play with the mute switch absent-mindedly when I’ve got nothing to with my hands.
On my iPad I use it regularly to lock orientation. I wish I could repurpose the iPhone’s button this way as well.

and much less than the $399 price Apple charges schools for the 16GB iPad 2
Is that what Apple’s education pricing is? That’s what normal customers pay, I’d assume that they have a bulk purchasing discount for education, they’ve implied as much in the past.

Have a look at this. Go ahead an play around with the various images.
The d5100 is a better camera as far as outright image quality is concerned. However, if you want to take a particular type of shot, nothing beats having the right lens for the job. All things being equal, the d5100 is better but you need to take the lenses you will have or be acquiring into consideration.
Mind you, I’m not really suggesting that you get a d5100 specifically because I don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, just letting you know that there is better image quality to be had in that price range. The d5100 is a good camera though.

m4/3rds won’t get you better pictures, not necessarily. The benefit of any non-reflex interchangeable lens camera is mostly size, weight and their discretion. I feel like SLRs are more flexible and give better performance, except with maybe live view AF and burst shooting speed.
For outright image quality, I’d go with a Canon or Nikon DSLR. The APS-C sensors are bigger than the 4/3rds ones and generally have better image quality within the same generation. You can get a D5100 kit for ~470 on keh.com (reputable), to give you an idea of what you can get around that price range. Image quality on that one is relatively good.
