The Nokia 610 is a great go-to business phone it can actually save a lot of business money in the long run. I have to pay 649 for a Bold 9900 where as I can guy a Nokia 610 at 200$ and do just as much.

Seriously Facebook should just make the app. They gone public if they want me to invest in them they better take their brand more seriously.
If I was Mark Z I would be pushing to make FB the best experience on any platform.

Hold on guys lets be real here. Microsoft isn’t going to announce anything 98% of the general public doesn’t even know about Windows Phone 8.
MS keeping thing silient they want people to understand metro learn how WP 7.5 works before announcing anything new.

I understand. I don’t think so not right now. Later down the road is the partnership stays strong MS can ask Nokia for some pointers but I can see Nokia getting more out of this.
If Nokia becomes the go-to OEM I can see them releasing a Nokia version of the Xbox maybe an Xbox cyan blue or any other funky Nokia color.
Like I said I can see a mini Nokia Xbox lite just for remote desktop, multimedia and semi gaming.
5 days ago on Could this be a possibility?

Never say never. If the partnership exceeds expectations maybe MS will allow Nokia to use the Xbox brand and give them a set of specs to work on Nokia’s own “Apple TV” like product. But in no means Nokia will have nothing to do with the next Xbox.

Apples best designs IMO are iPhone 1 and the MacBook Air/Pro line.

Yeah its slowly going down but its expected with all the Android devices in the market. The guys at MS and Nokia need to look at the Top 5 and ask themselves what makes people want these phones because the Nokia can beat most of them when it come to price per value

Oh ok fair enough I thought it was the next evolution of blue tooth. I expected it to be like that after seeing the Nokia Speaker demo.
So NFC sets up the Bluetooth communication is that how it works?

NFC just makes it easier from what I can see. Connecting to my Wifi is spotty and Bluetooth is always a pain to setup. NFC looks so easy tap and go or point and sync no BS straight to the point.
Streaming music if a smart watch has a hard drive I can stream music via NFC using NFC enabled wireless headphones. Or worse comes to worse I can leave my phone in my back and use my watch to control the playlist on my phone and send the sounds to my NFC enabled wireless headsets.
Basically a smartwatch allows you to not have a phone in your pocket at all times. It would be pretty sweet if the basic things such as unlocking your car, opening a door etc can be done on a watch and payments done on a phone so when I leave the house all I need is a phone and my watch.

I want to be able to stream music and control volume via NFC
I want to be able to change the channel on my TV via NFC
Basically I want Windows OS + NFC on my smartwatch.

that’s why Microsoft invented Windows 8 and Windows RT. Windows RT will make the Windows marketplace across an array of smart devices while Windows 8 will make the Windows marketplace accessible on any Win8 PC and will also support legacy.
If everything is executed properly MS won this. First company to have a full out ecosystem on x86 PC’s, ARM devices and soon Consoles.
Google doesn’t have a desktop OS and Google TV isn’t quite there yet
Apple iOS apps don’t run on OSX yet Apple TV is good but isn’t on par with Xbox
MS dominates two markets entertainment and desktop PC. Mobile is slowly coming but with Windows RT, Windows phone, Nokia and AT&T making a big push I can see it gain a lot more marketshare very soon.

Microsoft is only playing catchup mode for now but don’t act like they don’t have the biggest hardware ecosystem ranging from desktops, laptops, slates, tablets, phones, Xbox.
Once all the devices use a common Marketplace they can easily surpass Google and Apples application ecosystem.

We can thank the Kin and Zune because it made a beautiful platform WP7 and now Windows8.
Zune provided the future Interface for Microsoft
Kin provided the social integration that you see today on Windows Phone and soon on Windows 8

The biggest mistake MS made with the Zune is not using the Xbox brand to launch the device. They could of had a head start when it came to mobile smart phone gaming if they associated Xbox with the Zune HD.
MS should of also used more of their services to power the product. It could of had Live integration at the time and like I said Xbox.
Also MS should of marketed Zune Pass a lot more

Maybe your wife just needs a few pointers and direction on how to use the OS. Its actually simple once you get the hang of it a lot more easier than any version of Windows out right now.
One tip is to use the Windows Key to launch the Metro start screen.

You absolutely tripping. I use Windows 8 CP with dual monitors at work. W8 allows me to manage screen real estate a lot better, boots fast, launches and finds apps.
Amazing OS haters hate on you probably didn’t take the time to get used to the OS.

Also about resell value. In a few years when MS ecosystem improves why buy a used iphone X when you can buy a Lumia midrange phone for just as much. Nokia is doing a great job covering the price ranges with the limited specs they have.

Microsoft is rebranding Zune to Xbox Music which would only make the service better. I love my Zune Pass but with the new Woodstock service coming out Music on WP is only going to get better.

Not at all. WP is way ahead of iOS for example socail networking. Lets say your friend mentioned that a sick RnB concert is coming to town and you forgot whos performing.
On a iPhone I need to find and open the Facebook App, Search Friends, Find friend and look at their wall.
On a WP open the people hub find the person and find out whats new.
WP is simply faster at doing basic tasks and yeah IMO its ahead in certain areas and behind on others.
People complain with multitasking but really probably 2 out of 10 people really multitask on their phone. Windows Phone gives you 5 cards that consitantly run which is good enough switching back and forth. If you need a phone that acts like a PC then go spend the 100$ and buy something better.
iPhone 3GS and 4 do not compare to a Lumia 900 its miles ahead in terms of ease of usage and future scalability.
Windows Phone makes the basic smart phone featurs into a amazing experience not even iPhone and Android can compare without customization.

The Lumia resell value is actually pretty good right now and in a few years when the ecosystem gets better the resell value will be just as good as an iPhone.
Xbox Live is great if your really into the gaming social network. Gaming on a phone doesn’t appeal to everybody not everyone is going to play the latest Nova or Infinity Blade. WP provides a great social platform with Xbox Live integration and they have great time killer games like Wordament, Orbital, Chickens Can Fly etc. Now with Nokia supporting the platform more games like Angry Birds space and EA games such as NBA live and Madden are coming which is good enough to satisfy the casual phone gamers.
Office is underrated. Being able to edit my One Note documents on the go and use them in meetings and presentations is great. Being able to make an Excel workout document on my PC and edit my workout plans at the gym is great. Office on a phone is underrated.
I was recently traveling and I showcased my WP Office features to ppl who use iPhones and they were impressed. Yes Office is limited but with Skydrive functionality and Word, Excel, ON and Powerpoint built in it makes a great platform to use.
The ecosystem is striving. If I didn’t use WP I wouldn’t be using Skydrive, I wouldn’t be using One Note. I wouldn’t be buying Zune movies and TV shows on my Xbox. I wouldn’t be using Windows Live services. Basically what im saying WP really opened the MS ecosystem and introduced the old MS services in a fresh new way.
Windows Phone 8 will come to Windows Phone 7 and you know why because Microsoft is all about scaling down to target the low end audience.
MS wont be able to target the low end with dual core phones so they need to mass produce single core phones and price them affordably. Yes WP8 can run on single core processors and Nokia is making a commitment to Lumia buyers to bring them the latest greatest updates.
Maybe not all OEMS and carriers might welcome Windows 8 on older devicesd but I know for a fact Nokia AT&T are commited to give end users the best possible WP experience.
