So now that the main comparison chart has been updated, why isn’t the “Most Versatile Set-Top Boxes” chart updated as well? According to the main chart Google TV supports 13 of the services which would put it above the X-Box which supports 12 and the Apple TV which supports 9 of them.

Not sure if it counts but you can access both Facebook and Flickr using the browser on GTV.

See I am the exact opposite. I have a Google tv and when I bought my 3rd gen iPad I decided to try out an Apple tv for Airplay. I ended up returning that the next day because aside from both Airplay and the iTunes store there was nothing else that made it stand out. Sure it was easier to use but the lack of content is what stood out for me. honestly while some of the stuff on Google tv is difficult. (using the Recording functions with an external dvr) I do not find the interface to be very difficult at all. People are just turned off by the qwerty keyboard and other mass amount of buttons.

Don’t forget Youtube. The chart says it does not have it when it in fact has the best Youtube experience on the TV.

I’m pretty sure Rev 3 is profitable. I recall Leo LaPorte once talking about how low cost it is for him to produce shows for Twit.Tv and how the advertising more than makes up for the costs. Rev 3 is basically the same format. I personally applaud this purchase as I like the Discovery channel and look forward to hopefully seeing a higher quality on the production. I just hope it remains free!
