It seems a given that Airplay would arrive with this reboot of Rdio, but no icon has appeared yet. What’s the hold up already?

I’d be using it with MacBooks and iPhones, if possible. I like the idea of wireless access to the drive with the option to plug into the router for larger file transfers. I wonder how easy it would be to jump between WiFi and ethernet interfaces to the drive?

Ah! I just tried it with a portable drive and it recognized it, although the drive needs external power to actually mount. I’d always been under the impression the Express didn’t support drives, only printers. Good to know. I wonder how quick it’ll be?

Yes, this is the dilemma. If my future laptop is a Macbook Pro, then I’ll just get a Firewire drive and call it a day. But I’m lured by the sleekness of the Air and if I go that route I need something faster than it’s USB 2.0.

Yeah, but for a Macbook Air owner who needs the storage, it seems to be the cheapest, fastest option out there. If the Air had Firewire 800, I wouldn’t be considering this drive.

I can’t get over that the adapter doesn’t come with a Thunderbolt cable! Does anyone see where the bundled product that includes the cable is located on Seagate’s site?

The color combination seems like the distinguishing factor here. If they had just decided on a different combination of color, it wouldn’t look so Air-like. Is the “form factor leading it” so specifically?

Should I be concerned about malware or what have you by connecting to one of these dead drops? There’s one near where I live and I am curious.

I’ve used the Logitech S715i quite a bit. It’s a nice little setup. Full sound from the several sets of speakers at differing sizes, built in battery for portable use, comes with a simple little remote thats convenient to use. The iPhone/iPod dock version that sells for $108 and for twenty bucks more they sell a bluetooth version. Definitely biggest bang for your buck.
