I used Swype Beta for the longest time… until I picked up my current phone. My purchase coincided with Swype Beta installer not working at all. Swype customer support basically said “our priority is to our carrier/handset manufacturers, we don’t know when we’ll fix the beta installer, suck it up.”
Since dealing with such atrocious customer support, I started looking for alternatives. TouchPal was ok and I used it for a while, but since SwiftKey came out with swiping functionality, I have never looked back. Excellent multi-language swiping + pretty good next word prediction are an awesome combination (I regularly type both English and German on my phone).
Swype is late on Google Play, they should have done this 1-2 years ago.
