Google is fundamentally a cloud services company. They had a little lull where they went Android only or were blocked on other platforms, but they know they are a service company and that many people use their products on all platforms. Android is just a platform for Google services, just like iOS, and the web. Possibly windows phone if it gets enough users for Google to devote resources to. Google is not an Android exclusive company, no reason to be.

No, I constantly see this crap all over posts about Google. They really haven’t proven to be untrustworthy yet, or some reincarnation of skynet or whatever. I stand by my assessment of the other companies I mentioned. People always have this irrational fear of Google “taking” over.

Stop the fear mongering. It’s companies like Apple, facebook and MS you need to worry about, they don’t tell you what they do with your data. Plus MS calls out Google for things, such as their privacy policy, and then does the same exact thing.

I wonder how much MS gets from their Android licenses. That is the shadiest thing ever. B&N took them to court (one of the few who did) and then MS pulled that shady investment in the Nook spin-off thing. Microsoft just ruins everything. It’s a company run by lawyers.
