I would wait for the next nexus’s. We could have 5 if the reports are right. Hopefully it will be available immediately on the Google Play Store and we won’t have to wait for it to come to the Play Store 6 months later. I would see what they say, if anything, at Google I/O which is at the end of June. i would hang tight.

No, lets hope not. Android should become its own thing. I hope this team can help Android on their vision that they outlined at the ICS launch.

Great piece, Google really does take a long term approach to almost everything they do. I can’t wait to see how G+ will transform Google in the next 5-10 years. Also, I still think FB is overvalued. Just because people are getting into search, blekko and duckduckgo for example, but it doesn’t mean they should IPO with Google’s market cap. FB is just a huge name, but its how they use their social prowess to create value for people and their shareholders. Think of FB like an NFL rookie, those who went in the top 10 picks would get huge contracts, bigger than some well established players in the league. Some of these rookies turned out to be duds despite their high price, time will tell if FB will be in the Hall of Fame, or the Hall of Shame.

They are going to start raising prices, thats what I heard yesterday. No one is safe, our only hope is Google Fiber, and that remains to be seen. I hope they expand that program.

The iPhone does not help consumers. Every carrier that gets the iPhone gets progressively worse with its policies as time goes on. The carriers actually lose a lot of money on the iphone, ATT made more money last quarter because they sold less iphones than expected.
