A CD or DVD without a label works as well, if you happen to still have any of those laying around.

I respectfully disagree. We expose ourselves to this kind of identity privacy issues every day (CCTV, someone bringing a camera to a party, you name it). It is true that Facebook has the right to do a lot of stuff, just like most of these large companies, however can you imagine how quickly they would lose the public’s support if they misuse this power even just once? This is the guarantee we have, and it’s why people shouldn’t and don’t worry, in my opinion.

Since laughing at another commenters failure to recognize the biggest issue with this project, I’ll go ahead and try it myself. Feel free to laugh ;)
So I imagine the hardest part (apart from getting all the $$$) is that a ship like this would have to be actually built in space. The design and size makes it impossible for it to survive either launch or re-entry. Now we’ve built space stations in space (at least assembled) before, but this far more complex structure will probably prove to be very difficult.
Still, one can dream :)

Lol, of all things, you think this will be the biggest issue?
Dump it into space?

Nice way of keeping out the griefers, looking forward to some additions! For the record, I visited the pyramids in the picture and while awe inspiring it was difficult to get a full understanding of the size of the thing, it’s just so damn big one can’t really focus. Amazing! I had to /home after a while tho, maybe I’ll return later ;)

I believe the hype around companies owning our data is much exaggerated. People don’t enjoy it, but they don’t care enough for it to be a deal-breaker. The issue with facebook goes much more along the lines of people (outside the company) seeing things they’re not supposed to; an issue easily solved with some thinking before uploading.

Pretty and funny video! However in my mind this is not the kind of idea that deserves raising over at Kickstarter, it’s certainly nothing groundbreaking, more like a cheap tacky product, imo.
