A lot of people never get used to it and they want rotation lock. There is no legitimate reason WP shouldn’t have it.

I’ll go point by point

• WP’s music player situation is very annoying. For some reason, the only music player that allows you to fast forward through a track is the built-in Xbox Music app, and, even then, you can’t scrub. You have to actually hold down the forward or back button to go through a track.
• I don’t really think there are any major video player alternatives in the store and I’m almost positive the built-in player doesn’t support subtitles.
• Syncing between WP and Windows devices is lackluster so I imagine that if you’re on a mac you’re screwed.
• The social networking experiencing on WP is lacking as whole and FB is no different. FB chat via the Messaging hub is terrible. It doesn’t support group chats, images, and syncing between FB and your device is very iffy. The non-beta FB app is just a complete waste of time. The beta FB app isn’t bad but since it is in beta there a few bugs and notifications aren’t reliable.
• Instagram is a no-show and there are no signs that it’s coming on the platform anytime soon
• Dropbox is unavailable as well
• There is an Evernote app and a recent update has apparently put on par with it’s iOS and Android versions.
• Bing maps is terrible. Nokia Here isn’t much better. POI data is not good in either app and turn-by-turn nav isn’t as good as Google Maps’. I have been led astray by Here maps at least 5 times in the 3 or so months I’ve been using it.
• There is a separate Nokia Here Transit app but I don’t think it’s as user-friendly as the transit functionality built into Google Maps.

There are also quite of a few frustrating things about the OS itself aside from the app situation but I’m sure you’ve already heard all of that.

Here’s the question I have for you: Do you really think Kid’s Corner is gonna sell a large amount of phones? Is that really a killer platform feature?

Company R&D always works one generation ahead of the market.

Yeah, that’s great and all, but there is one issue with that when it comes to this: WP8 is already generations behind it’s competitors when it comes to features. When you’re playing catch-up you can’t just put a hold on basic features to generate excitement. It doesn’t work like that.

Furthermore, yeah, new features are already under development. However, that doesn’t seem to stop MS’s competitors from adding substantial features to their OS at each yearly update.

This is way too busy and cluttered. Images of a site are much less descriptive than an actual description of what’s on said site.
