I think it look almost identicle to the Galaxy Nexus but yet that was hailed as a very good looking phone.
So Vlad doesn’t like so this creates mob mentality and you all fall in line. It’s almost like watching a real life Pied Piper.

I agree. The software enhancements on GSIII are pretty outstanding, too bad they are being overlooked because it doesn’t look like an iPhone.

I love how easily the public pereception is swayed by the opinion of the writers here on the Verge on the commenters here.
I GUARANTEE if Vald wrote a loving resposne to the GSIII you all would be praising the phone.
but then again maybe not, this is an apple safe haven.

Voice control has long been on android before Siri came along, are you kidding me?
Cloud storage? again WHAT? Please don’t tell me you think Apple invented cloud storage, You can not believe they were the first to come out with it. Please tell me you don’t think this.
take a look at iOS’s notification system, and what it seems to really be a copy of , then comeback . I wouldn’t be talking about copying if I were an iOS fan.
Airplay? Again egads Samsung has had intergrated Samsung devices before airplay
Holy crap , are all apple fans this clueless? You guys really think Apple invented all these features and were the first to implement them don’t you?
WOW JUST WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

actually I don’t, while maybe not DRM free it is Adobe Reader DRM which is on almost every ebook reader except the Kindle.
So if you have a nook, a sony, a kobo etc you can buy ebooks from Google and sideload them onto your device

I’m sorry it seems their policy has changed, when Google Books started selling current in copyright and best sellers, they were sold as DRM Free books and actually listed all the devices that would work with Google books.
Now it appears to give authors and publishers the option of selling it with DRM

but there is still Kobo books as far as I know they still sell best sellers and such DRM free.
but anywho, I still stand by my point, I do think Google books is one of the best ebooks stores available.

I know alot of people with sony and nook ereaders that use it. I use it alot on my Asus tablet.
what gives you the assumption nobody is using it? Most ereaders are on the Verge page chest thumbping themselves like Apple fanboys do.

I thing the ebook and the nook products would have continued just not the physical stores.
I think this is a prelude to that or at least some precautions so the nook name won’t be associated with a bankrupt physical store.

why the (lol) after Google – Play books? I find it’s one of the best ebook stores out there. It’s the most versatile that’s for sure. It has one of the largest if not the largest selection of books, They are DRM Free ePub format, so you can read them on basically every ereader out there except the Kindle (they don’t allow ePUb format). from the nook to the sony to the kobo ereaders.
They run some of the best specials, picked up Game of Thrones series for $29 during the promo it was running to coincide with Season 2 release on HBO,
bought Kitchen Confindential, MoneyBall, and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close for .25 cents. each. And IMHO has one of the best UI second only to the Nooks ebook UI on my Asus Tablet.
So I’m not sure the mocking of Google Books, unless of course the name P lay book sounds silly but other than that, Its quite possible the best overall e-book store.
