Owning the GNex, the camera isnt that bad. It’s not mind blowingly spectacular, but the images arent terrible and the video at 1080p is actually pretty decent. The zero shutter lag is pretty nice, being able to compose a shot and rapidly tap the screen, its almost like a burst mode.
I’d say its decent, its better than the pictures I got from the 8MP camera on my LG T-mobile g2x, so thats saying something at least.

I’d say go with the Galaxy nexus, unless you want to wait 2 or three months. Good thing is, that the galaxy nexus will get whatever upgrade the new nexus will have, within weeks, if not near instantaneously. So, take the plunge!
Nothing beats pure stock ICS, with tethering features intact and no bloatware.

It’s interesting to me how mockups of phones always have insanely thin bezels. I guess its nice to dream. As a happy owner of a Galaxy Nexus, I am looking forward to what this year brings in terms of Nexus phones .
It seems a little on the thick side, maybe if it was a hair thinner, closes to the HTC One S.

Tiny Tower on iOS and Android is like that as well. Essentially it’s persistent in the sense that the world is running when you aren’t playing the game, and it means the second you leave the game, you are at a disadvantage. It is also a game that starts out being a lot of fun, but then you soon realize that at a cetain point the time it takes to advance further becomes exponentially longer, and in order to keep the pace up, you have to pay out of pocket for things in-game. I think it is sneaky and I have become wary of any game with that business model since.
I would happily pay upfront for a game of this sort, if the mechanics were more reasonable (like having the world stop when i stop playing). But I think why we see games like that is that companies have discovered that people are willing to pay quite a bit, once you have strung them along a bit. Once a person has invested so much time into a game, they are more likely to buy those coins, just to make the effort not hit a brick wall.

It reminds me of the Motorola Cliq, Moto’s first stab at making an android phone.

I think people who think this is meant to compete with the pantheon of high end phones are missing the point. The point is that components are getting cheap enough to where smartphones are starting to trickle down into prepaid phone territory. Which means, now instead of being a market full of only dumb flip phones, smartphones are now becoming options.
Also, people who are interested in prepaid phones are not interested in having the latest and greatest, they are interested in something that is inexpensive first and foremost. And for a person who was used to using those samsung messaging phones, this is a pretty big upgrade from that.
But I do agree, that samsung shouldnt call this phone galaxy anything, so that the brand is constantly associated with their high end offerings.

I found that if you go to the school, then the workshop becomes available to select on the board (before that, it doesnt show up as a place to put a farmer, at least not for me).

The game is fun, but some of the features seem to be broken. For example, in no version of the game listed was I able to choose a build card from the bottom. And in the 2x version of the game, I couldnt even grow grain correctly. There are a few things that need to be fixed in order for the game to be fair. Its hard to win when the game only lets itself be able to build.
