Actually, the article is pretty poorly written. It says at the beginning “apparently been snapping photos on the stolen smartphone and automatically uploading them to McCaffrey’s Facebook account”. Which is not what’s happening at all. The quote from the captions includes mention of photostream but the article itself makes it way more confusing than it should be.

It also makes some system gestures like bringing up the notification pane more difficult (impossible?) if there’s no bezel.

That’s because it is. Or at least it’s close. I think it could get a little bigger without huge issue. App design and user experience best practices would also have to change to accommodate the fact that buttons in those top corners are becoming much more difficult to tap.
Try comfortably reaching the top left corner of any of those Android phones with a screen larger than 4".

Unlike other shows TRS isn’t owned by Revision3 but is distributed by them. According to wikipedia, “produced by Team Awesome, LLC and distributed by Revision3.”
