Dear The Verge:
I love you guys to death, but could you please post features that are less interesting? I have a job to do, and I keep getting distracted.

I personally agree with you, but I know people that use FaceTime constantly. I think FaceTime over cell networks will not be any more popular than wifi FaceTime is, but I also think that FaceTime over a cell network would be popular enough for it to consume a significant amount of bandwidth from the carrier network.
If I had to guess, I would think that FaceTime over LTE is coming. It would not surprise me if the carriers requested the wifi FaceTime usage statistics from Apple, so they can better prepare their LTE networks for this feature.

This is more of a theoretical argument too… I can’t find any reports of specific consumer cars that are unstable at high speeds.
However, I did meet a guy back in 02 who had just purchased a VW Beetle Turbo S (I was judging him too), and he told me that they had to add a spoiler on the back of the car because the front wheels would lift off the ground at high speeds. This sounded legit at the time, but I couldn’t find any news articles that backed his story up.
I can tell you that one of my good friends had a turboed Honda CRX from 88 that weighed around 2,000lbs. I can tell you first hand that at triple digit speeds, the steering was significantly lighter, and the car was extremely unstable.

So we are in a heated agreement. I was just arguing to be difficult.
The point I was trying to make is that cars that are not very aerodynamic can be unstable at high speeds due to the lack of downforce. If those cars are also very light, it has the potential to be very dangerous. Supercars are clearly designed by smart people who solved this problem long ago.
In conclusion: weight is always a bad thing in supercars, but i would argue that additional weight in certain consumer vehicles contributes positively to the handling of the car at high speeds.
God I wish I was smart so I could communicate better.

For the sake of arguing, it should be noted that weight is not always a bad thing in cars.
For performance, yes weight is bad, but if you make a light supercar, it needs to create as much downforce as possible. If it doesn’t create enough downforce, the car will become extremely unstable at high speeds.
Obviously this argument has nothing to do with the 918 because I am sure it is designed to handle plenty of downforce.

yeah none of his games will ever be as successful. I mean, he believes in working on projects that he is passionate about, which we all know is a terrible business plan. Rapidly failing businesses like Pixar, Valve, and Apple share Notch’s philosophy in that those businesses like to create products they believe in, and are proud of. Notch should learn from their mistakes: If you like what you do, then you will fail.
Ok, all joking aside, I have the utmost respect for Notch, but I am a bit annoyed at his humility. Is he really assuming that the future games he wants to make are niche games at best? Notch is a visionary genius, and I am afraid he may not understand that yet.

This does not make up for the rest of Gizmodo’s sleazy journalism and generally unprofessional attitude. Not yet at least. A few years back they wrote an entire article about Steve Jobs being weeks from death (he lived much much longer than that). I guess thats news worthy, but their only source was a tabloid. You cannot source a tabloid and expect me to take you seriously ever again.
It is going to take a lot more than just a few good features to win my respect back.
