Current Atom are not that bad, but also not really good. I forget do add what i mention above, to wait a bit for AMD temash tablets (next gen atoms is still too far away).

And the surface pro is not the only i core tablet available

I would tell you to wait for AMD temash tablets , better than current Intel Atoms but without the need of active cooling like Intel core series.
full x86 support

people now have 1 phone (at least, and a high % is android) and a tablet , but a lot of people don’t use anymore a notebook (also theres missing the desktop users).
Per person 2 android devices (or more) but only Windows device at best (more only in rare cases) , those numbers aren’t that big of a suprise…

Having a big mobile market share doesn’t mean is adequate for notebook use. Android is a good phone and tablet OS , but not a computer replacement (for those who use a computer for more than facebook).
Everyone has a phone , and most today also have a tablet. A computer (notebook/desktop) these days only who need a more powerful machine have one.
