Me and my buddy have talked about making an app that would allow it but as far as we know the APIs are not available for most of these services. Plus you would need massive server infrastructure.

I bought it was a great conference, you can see Google really trying to unify their services and developer tools. My favourite part of the whole keynote was listening to Larry Page, I found it very inspirational.

Yes and no. Pretty much every phone plan has unlimited texting thrown into it. It does get expensive when you start to travel and get involved with international messaging.

iPhone 4 is only free on a contract. In emerging markets, iPhone 4 cost quite a bit. Just wait until Apple releases a budget iPhone for these markets. You can bet that it is going to sell like hotcakes. If I was Samsung, I would be worried.

No, I can’t do it from the built in software. I have to think that Apple makes their software as simple to use as possible. It allows everyone to be able to take great photos, from my father, to your aunt, to someones grandmother. Most if not all reviews for the GS4 have said that the camera software is overwhelming because of all the “features” Samsung has thrown into it; what exactly is Beauty Mode?
If I need extra features for my camera, I can go to the App Store and download the appropriate app. I prefer it that way because my 16GB iPhone comes with more than 8GB of usable space.

Edit: Sure there are a few things that would be nice to have but there is nothing missing that would cause me to move to another platform.

If you are the kind of person that finds a phone to be boring then I think the problem is deeper than just the phone being boring. My phone is not boring because I have actual hobbies and interests outside of what I use to keep in touch with people.
1) It may be my opinion, but that is an opinion that is based on having used many other devices with panoramic mode. iPhone has simply been the best experience.
2) Noise cancellation has been on phones for ages, and it wasn’t only introduced with iPhone 5. It was just made that much better.
3) The Nokia Lumia phone did not fair so well in actual usage once the phone was released. Myriam over at Engadget has not stopped bitching and complaining about the phones camera. And she loves Nokia, she is a Nokia fangirl. Just adding more shooting modes to the GS4 doesn’t make it better in quality. I’ve used the phone and it was no better than the GS3.
p.s. I can make GIFs on my iPhone
