I can agree it was convoluted, but my comment was actually directed at a commenter above me who obviously came to this page to view a video in which Damon explicitly states that they were not dead – and yet that commenter still thinks it was purgatory. Either that commenter did not watch the interview, or there’s just some ignorance involved.

Everything wasn’t ‘fucking purgatory’. Did anyone that complains about Lost actually watch Lost? It wasn’t that hard to figure out.

I’m sure most Facebook users aren’t even aware of this story. One of the many reasons I’m glad to be ‘part of the 1%’ who doesn’t use FB.

Yeah, 3.5mm + a SendStation gives me the quality of sound I’m looking for in my 06 Beetle. I can’t do Bluetooth audio.

It could have been a million other tech geeks, some of which are no doubt much more talented than he is.
But it wasn’t. It was him. I don’t even use facebook, and I’m offended at the way you write off Zuckerberg for his accomplishments.
It’s just like saying, “Yeah, Woz helped start Apple, but any nerd could have done it. There’s nothing special about him. He deserves no special credit.”
Closed-minded, ‘little man can’t get ahead’ mentality.

That’s crazy – when I was with T-Mo (cancelled on 4/5/2012), my wife and I both had HTC G2’s, and we had 600 shared minutes, 5GB of data each, and no SMS for almost the exact same monthly price – about $85 after tax.
It required a bit of calling to retentions to get the price down. Now, however, we’re both on Virgin Mobile and each pay $10-$20 per month. I know I can find cheaper service elsewhere, but my terrible last experiences with T-Mo inspired me to jump to a company I actually believe in, and I’m a huge Richard Branson fan, so Virgin made the most sense.

Yeah, when I had T-Mo, I was paying $20/month for 5GB of data. That was only 3 months ago. $50 for 5GB just seems ridiculous.
Alas, I’ve learned to live without a smartphone and without mobile data, and – even being a web developer – life is not as tough as I thought it would be. Much more relaxing, actually.

My wife has a 15" MBP from 2008, when they used to use Nvidia graphics. The machine is HORRIBLE. It was sent to Apple three times for the faulty Nvidia card, the logic board was replaced all three times, and the hard drive was replaced once.
It’s still faulty and now out of warranty. I recently got a 17" MBP with AMD graphics (current gen), and if the new models have Nvidia, my wife’s experience is enough for me to not purchase an Nvidia-weilding machine.

Yeah, I agree with a large majority of this piece, but the bit insinuating that Tony Robbins’ products are a part of this scam didn’t resonate with me. I know that most of these guys are scammers, but I’ve used Tony Robbins’ stuff, and I think it’s quality material.
