That’s pretty cool of sprint considering the shipping delay wasn’t their fault.

Imagine Samsung makes a new version of the Galaxy S III with week long battery life. Even with heavy use the phone lasts 5 days. There’s a catch though. Every time you charge the phone a tiny piece of your morality is sucked into the battery. You don’t know how long this will take to start affecting you or even how it will affect you. It’s possible that you could start murdering colleagues after a week of charging the phone every night. It’s also possible that years of charging the phone have little effect on you. Do you take a chance and use this new Galaxy S III? Why or why not?

I understand that networks are required to sell content to MVPDs but is there any rules about pricing? If Netflix were classified as a MVPD couldn’t NBC just give Netflix a completely unreasonable price for their content?

If people wan’t to protect their iPhone they can put a case on it. I’d like to have choice to make my phone plasticy and durable rather than fragile and beautiful. I don’t want a designer to make that choice for me.

There’s nothing wrong with the current iPod touch but the hardware is 2 years old since it has the same internals as the iPhone 4. Also the screen isn’t IPS so it doesn’t have the great viewing angles the iPhone has. For most people these are minor issues that wont matter.

To be fair to Sony, they’re handeling ICS updates better than every other manufacturer. They should have every phone they released last year updated by the end of the month and they’ve had an ICS beta available for the past few months for people to try out who want to try it out.

These are the first LTE handsets to have GSM roaming capabilities. My understanding is that they aren’t using a seperate GSM chipset and sim card like on past phones. They’re enabling the LTE chipset and simcard to be backward compatible with GSM networks. This works since LTE is based on GSM technology.

It’s probably the ram. Excluding the Nexus S every device getting an official update to ICS at the point has had either 1GB or 768MB of ram.

You’re assuming Verizon will keep their existing data plans and pricing and simply allow you to share the data. I find it very unlikely that Verizon will simply allow you to pay for their existing 5GB dataplan and use multiple devices with it. They’ll probably do something like charge an $20 a month for the 5GB of data and charge another $25 a month for each device that is allowed to connect to that data pool.

I’m pretty sure his current contract terms stipulate that he can’t tether his phone without purchasing a mobile hotspot plan, and I don’t think Verizon offeres an unlimited data hotspot plan.

The only thing better about the Rezound is the screen. The official ICS update won’t have the much improved Sense 4.0 UI, you’ll be stuck on 3.5 and I have a very hard time believing the Rezound will have better battery life considering how power efficient the S4 equiped AT&T One X is proving to be.

Are you tethering you’re Nexus and using LTE for all your data? I go through about 8GB a month on my Galaxy Nexus using Google Music, downloading podcasts and occasionally using netflix and youtube. I have no idea how you would use 37GB unless your using it as your sole source of internet.

I agree, I think the stock moto blur experience is by far the best Android skin and the ICS update seems to bring it even closer to stock Android.
However, I know some people like to flash a new rom every week and often completely change how the entire UI looks by skinning or using roms like MIUI. You’re not going to be able to do this with the Razr Maxx, but if that isn’t a big deal to you then by all means buy it.

Sure there were plenty of touch screen phones before the iPhone, most notably the Palm Treo line, but none of them worked well. I actively avoided using the touchscreen on my Treo 650. If Apple hadn’t shown everyone that a touch screen phone could deliver an intuitive UI experience that people would end up preferring over hardware buttons Android would probably have continued to look like this.
