Erik from Pebble has indicated they will be selling standard pre-orders on the watch starting May 19 (the day after the Kickstarter campaign ends). They also may not have exactly $1o million to play with. There are a certain number of credit card transactions that will fail or be fraudulent. From the grand total after that, Amazon and Kickstarter each take a cut. I’m guessing the final total to the Pebble folks will probably be in the $9.5 million range depending on attrition. Also, until the 5/18 cut-off, there is still a chance of buyer’s remorse. Anyone can cancel their order and, if you’re lucky, you can slide in and take their spot, snagging you an early adopter watch.
