Holy Moly! Big Chelsea fan here and never did I expect us to win that. How Bayern didn’t score 56 goals is beyond me, a Guardian writer summed up Mario Gomez as a ‘big, useless, lunk’, and I think that described him accurately on this occasion. It was never going to be a terribly exciting game with 2 defensive minded teams, but it was quite dramatic nonetheless.

If he doesn’t have a massive beard by the end then the whole exercise is pointless

Hm, I really don’t think the timeframe should detract from a game (unless it’s horrendously short, which 12 hours isn’t). I’ve played a few games that were short but the experience playing them was so great that I couldn’t fault the timeframe.
