This will all come full circle with the Xbox ??? release. Microsoft always has a plan. It’s coming together. The Windows 8 Core based x86 Xbox will change the game.
Apps will be built once, compiled for Windows 8, Windows 8 Phone, Windows 8 RT, & Xbox.
Wait until BUILD and you will see. They thought this through. They have something Apple & Google do not. Control of the living room. That leverage will get apps on all platforms. Then the ability to have many devices with one interface will be clear.
Just my opinion, but I feel confident in it. Until it happens, I’ll plug along with my Galaxy S3 and my Lenovo Yoga.
I like Windows 8 on my touch laptop. I love some of the new desktop features. One simple download of Start8 gives me what I want on my multi monitor desktop.
I know, I had to spend $5 for something Microsoft could have done, but, I get why they did this and it was really the only way they were ever going to get traction for phones/tablets.
People will get used to it. It’s easily modified, if you don’t want it and Windows 8 does utilize resources and particular multi-core processors better than 7 did.
