Yes it’s true that it implies the narrative is incomplete and the game is technically unfinished. Why do it though? Assuming you can give people a really good, surprising experience by dropping the news of Indoctrination Theory on them, it would be the first time in history that gamers have been brought into the chanracter’s story to this degree. But they failed hard.
Back in March/April I was willing to give them a month to pull us all in to this “what a bad ending!” craziness and then Bioware goes “BAM here’s the ending”! But that DLC, on-disc content unlock, or whatever, never came.
I still think Indoctrination is by far the most reasonable explanation but I cannot excuse Bioware taking SOOOOO long to just give us the ending. Sure you may not be able to give every possible post-war scenario on-screen time (blue babies, hybrid human-turian babies, etc) and that is OK! Just finish the war story and let us imaging what happens to Shep next. GRRRR
