Dear mobile strategists of other companies: If you continue to muddy up the waters with your ‘me too’ wallet apps that are destined to be unsuccessful and contribute uncertainty to that already shaky and confusing proposition to consumers (that before showed so much promise)… I’m going to find you at a mobile related conference… and push you down a flight of stairs for being stupid… the end.
1) This vergecast sounds very epic with the pre-event music playing on the microsoft stream in the background, lol.
2) Agreed that there should be BOTH a countdown and a location aware code snippet added to provide the appropriate time zone. If you live in one and need to know another, you’re probably an edge case: deal with it.
No actual Webby’s, all 5 were People’s Voice awards, but that speaks volumes. If they were good enough to get People’s Voice awards to show excellence in not just one but 5(!!!) categories, that alone speaks to the caliber of this site. All I know is I did my part in voting and even talking to Tiffany Shlain (Webby Founder) in person to give them props, and I’m sure the 5 awards won this year will garner the attention of the IADAS next year :)
